Vocalist Nancy Scimone entertains with music from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards and French songs. She is the leader of the Red Bird Jazz Band, as well as her world music ensemble PARISIENNE. From her homebase in Washington, DC Nancy Scimone collaborates with DC’s most in-demand jazz guitarists, pianists, bassists and percussionists in duos, trios, quartets or full orchestra. As a jazz vocalist, her influences are Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, Stan Getz and Bill Evans. She also reaps musical wisdom from recordings of Leonard Bernstein and Mozart.
